The Science of Precision Water Jet Cutting
Precision Water Jet Cutting is a versatile and powerful subtractive manufacturing process. It works by pressurizing water to an extreme level (up to 60,000 PSI) and forcing it through a tiny gemstone orifice, creating a supersonic stream. For cutting harder materials, a specialized abrasive (like garnet) is introduced into this stream, creating a microscopic erosion process that slices through the material.
