Cavitating Jet Technology

Cavitating jet technology harnesses the immense energy of hydrodynamic cavitation—the controlled formation and collapse of vapor bubbles within a water stream—to deliver superior cleaning, coating removal, and surface treatment performance. Unlike conventional water jets that rely solely on continuous high-pressure flow, cavitating jets generate intense localized shock waves and micro-jets when bubbles implode near a target surface. These impacts, reaching several GPa in intensity, enable the jet to accomplish more work at significantly lower operating pressures—typically 15–35 MPa versus 100+ MPa for conventional systems.

Advantage

Cavitation has traditionally been viewed as a destructive phenomenon in hydraulic machinery. Our cavitating jet technology reverses this paradigm—transforming cavitation from a problem into a precision industrial tool . When a high-speed water jet is discharged underwater through a specially engineered nozzle, pressure differentials create thousands of vapor bubbles within the shear layer. These bubbles travel to the workpiece surface and collapse asymmetrically, producing high-velocity micro-jets directed at the surface and powerful shock waves that fracture coatings, dislodge fouling, or induce beneficial compressive stress.
